Hobark International Limited (HIL) is the parent company of the Hobark group operating in the oil and gas industry. The company was incorporated in 1998, starting as a staffing agency based in Port Harcourt. Currently, we have offices in 4 countries with our head office in Lagos.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Rig Manager

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Type: Contract

Job Description

• Lead and manage day-to-day rig activities to ensure adherence to the approved drilling program.
• Monitor rig performance, optimize operational parameters, and ensure minimal downtime.
• Supervise all rig personnel including Tool pushers, Drillers, Electricians, and Mechanics.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and ensure adherence to shift handover procedures.
• Enforce strict compliance with company and regulatory HSE policies.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective/preventive measures.
• Oversee the preventive maintenance of rig equipment to avoid unscheduled breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate records of drilling operations, equipment usage, crew timesheets, and incident reports
• Monitor rig expenditures and ensure operations remain within budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in drilling operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Valid IWCF or IADC Well Control Certificate (Supervisor level).
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficient in rig operations software and reporting tools.
