Job Title: Home Economics / Foods and Nutrition / Catering Craft Practice Teacher

Job Summary

• They are seeking to employ dedicated and enthusiastic Home Economics / Food and Nutrition, Catering Craft Practice Teachers who have a genuine passion for teaching and can create a positive and engaging classroom experience.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of teaching experience, a deep understanding of the Nigerian/British curriculum, and strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and teaching of lessons as set out in the curriculum, setting the assessment tasks and marking students work.
• Completing other duties as required by the Principal
• Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, student academic progress, and personal management skills. providing regular feedback and support to help them achieve their best.
• Utilize Microsoft PowerPoint and other digital tools to create interactive and informative teaching materials.
• Prepare students for examinations, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and school events.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess an HND / BSc/B.ED in relevant discipline.
• Proven track record of preparing students for external examinations (WASSCE, BECE, UTME, IGCSE etc.)
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a reputable secondary school
• Proficiency in the use of the interactive white board and deployment of ICT tools in teaching and learning
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A 21st-century educator with an innovative and creative teaching approach
• Result-driven, goal-oriented, and passionate about student success
• An adaptable learner with a teachable spirit
• Well-groomed and professionally presented
• Able to build and maintain excellent relationships with learners
• IGCSE Certification is an added advantage.
