Job Title: Loan Recovery Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Summary

• As a Loan Recovery Officer will be responsible for managing and recovering delinquent loans, ensuring compliance with internal recovery policies and regulatory standards.
• This role is critical to maintaining the financial health of the institution by minimizing non-performing loans.

Responsibilities

• Handle the recovery of delinquent loans in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
• Liaise with defaulters through various communication channels to ensure loan repayments.
• Negotiate and restructure repayment terms when necessary in alignment with bank guidelines.
• Monitor and update the loan recovery tracker with accurate, real-time information.
• Recommend accounts for legal action where necessary and follow through with the legal process.
• Conduct field visits and follow-up on clients to ensure compliance with repayment agreements.

Requirements

• B.Sc or HND in Banking & Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or other relevant disciplines.
• Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in loan recovery, preferably in a microfinance or financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of loan recovery procedures, credit principles, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple recovery cases simultaneously.

Salary
N150,000 - N350,000 Monthly.
