Golden Sugar Company Limited is recruiting to fill the vacant position of:
Job Title: Laboratory Analyst
The Job
- Carry out physico-chemical analysis on refined sugar, water samples; boiler water, production water and effluent water to ensure conformity with specifications
- Verify/calibrate/document laboratory equipment before use and Ensure optimal performance
- Conduct in- process stock taking
- Calculate refinery recovery & efficiency.
Qualification
- Credit in Mathematics and English Language in WASCE/GCE, BSC/HND Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry and related disciplines.
The Person
- Must be familiar with and able to handle basic laboratory equipment/apparatus
- Must be computer literate for effective report writing.
- Must have analytical skill and mind, good in mathematical calculations
- Must have a good knowledge of Quality Assurance (ISO) and familiar with regulatory policies, standards/ specifications (NAFDAC, SON)
- Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision and under pressure in order to release results on time
- Must be physically fit & healthy and able to perform physical tasks; must be agile at all times.
Experience
- At least five years practical/industrial experience in Laboratory operations
