Job Summary

  • The Project Engineer at Andster Engineering is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects from initiation through to completion.
  • This role ensures that all technical aspects of each project are delivered effectively, on schedule, and within budget, while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Acting as a central point of contact, the Project Engineer will interface with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise all engineering and technical activities associated with assigned projects.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, detailed engineering designs, and technical documentation.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables in alignment with organisational goals.
  • Collaborate with procurement, construction, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Review and approve engineering drawings, designs, and documentation submitted by contractors and consultants.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all engineering work adheres to relevant codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Provide timely updates and progress reports to management and project stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical proposals, bids, and presentations as required.
  • Resolve technical challenges and deliver practical, innovative engineering solutions.
  • Participate in project meetings, site visits, and commissioning activities.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant project engineering experience, preferably within the oil & gas, power, or construction sectors.
  • Professional certifications or affiliations (e.g., COREN, PMP) are considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and construction practices.
  • Proficiency in engineering and project management tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera).
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and adapt to dynamic project environments.
