Job Title: Service Manager - Repairs & Maintenance

Description

• The Service Manager will oversee and coordinate all repair and maintenance activities, ensuring timely, high-quality service for customers.
• This role is responsible for leading the technical team, managing work schedules, and implementing preventive maintenance programs to maximize fleet uptime and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and supervise vehicle repair and maintenance activities for company and customer fleets.
• Ensure adherence to manufacturer specifications, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Monitor workshop productivity, quality control, and cost efficiency.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records and prepare operational performance reports.
• Train and mentor technicians on diagnostic tools, repair procedures, and new technologies.
• Liaise with vendors for spare parts procurement and outsourced repairs.
• Implement customer feedback processes to continuously improve service delivery.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

• Candidates should possess relevant qualifications.
• 5 - 7 years experience in vehicle service management (automotive, transport, or logistics sectors preferred).
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial and passenger vehicles.
• Proven experience in managing mechanics and technicians.
• Excellent vendor negotiation and workshop budgeting skills.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
