The Government of Kaduna State - In furtherance of its reform activities anchored accountability, transparency and value for money; and the quest to ensure timely implementation of its Restoration Programme: the Kaduna State Government is determined to confront the ineffective management and maintenance of assets owned and controlled by the State Government.

In order to provide for the effective preservation and maintenance of assets owned or controlled by the State and provide a uniform management framework for sustainability, efficiency and accountability in the use and management of such assets, the Kaduna State House Assembly has enacted the Kaduna State Facilities Management Agency (KADFAMA) Law No 16 of 2015.

The role of KADFAMA is to ensure that all state-owned assets and property are properly managed and their maintenance outsourced to experienced and qualified private sector firms under the exclusive supervision of the Agency.

Functions of the Agency
Section 16 of the KADFAMA Law mandates the Governor to appoint a Director-General who shall be the Chief Executive and Accounting Officer for the Agency. Pursuant to the provision of the KADFAMA Law, applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates who wish to be considered for the position below:

Duties and Responsibilities
The Director-General will be the Chief Executive Officer as well as the Accounting Officer, and shall be responsible for:
  • The day to day ad ministration of the Agency
  • Perform such other functions as may be assigned to him under the Law or may be determined by the Board
  • Advise the Board in relation to the performance of the functions of the Agency and shall make proposals to the Board or any matter relating to the activities of the Agency.
  • Keep the records of the proceedings of the Board
  • May perform such acts that are expedient or necessary for the purpose of exercising his functions under the law.
Requirements
For appointment to this position, a candidate should:
  • Have a minimum of a Degree or Higher Academic qualifications from a recognized university;
  • Possess at least ten (10) years experience in facilities management;
  • Possess at least ten (10) years relevant professional experience in a senior management and leadership position in the Public Service or Private Sector;
  • Have full membership of relevant professional bodies in facilities management or related fields;
  • Have demonstrable leadership and management capacity, including knowledge of financial management
  • Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • Have the capacity to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

Terms of Service/Remuneration
  • The Director-General will serve for a term of four years, and may be re-appointed for a period of four years.
  • The salary and other benefits attached to this position will be determined and approved by the Governor
