Job Title: Business Controller
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the job holder will be to:
- Participate in the preparation of the Monthly Reporting to Management and Corporate Head Office in partnership with the Chief Accountant.
- Prepare the Budget and Mid-term Plan for the various entities.
- Check and control the reliability of cost accounting and management information from different reports.
- Develop and implement KPs by activity to immediately alert potential drift.
- Propose areas of improvement for OPEX monitoring and reduction.
- Participate in strengthening and training the Credit Controllers and Debts Collectors.
- Improve the monitoring of the Branch activities.
- Establish procedures and management processes when necessary.
- Always implement ANZEN and KAIZEN principles.
- Any other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the manager.
Financial:
- Providing accurate and timely financial reports
- Maintaining internal control systems
Internal Process:
- Monitoring day to day cash flow and expenses of the business.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting.
- Minimum of 3+ years related work experience.
- Membership of relevant professional bodies preferably ICAN.
- Membership ACA, ACCA will be an added advantage.
Required Competencies:
- Financial reporting.
- Applies accounting principles and concepts in recording and analysing business and financial transactions, in accordance with professional and regulatory/statutory requirements.
- Applying Month-End Close concepts and procedures to enable the closure of accounting books in a timely and accurate fashion.
- General knowledge of the uses and applications of MS Office suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook etc.
