We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Internal Control & Risk Management Officer

Location: Marina, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and monitor internal control frameworks in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Identify, assess, and report operational, financial, and compliance risks across business units.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies to strengthen business processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct regular internal control reviews, spot checks, and audits to detect and prevent irregularities.
  • Provide timely risk intelligence and recommendations to management for informed decision-making.
  • Champion a strong risk and compliance culture across the organization through training and advisory support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, CIMA, or CISA are a strong advantage.
  • Minimum of 7 - 8 years of relevant experience in internal control, audit, or risk management within the financial services sector.
  • Solid understanding of CBN regulations, risk frameworks, and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and reporting skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant risk/audit tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
