A reputable company in the production and sales of Paints and Coatings, seeks a suitably qualified candidate to fill the below position in Lagos:
Job Title: Finance and Admin. Manager
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
The candidate after employment shall report to the Chief Operating Officer and is expected to perform the following duties among others:
- Supervise, mentor and direct other accounting department staff.
- Process transactions in the accounting software.
- Manage banking transactions.
- Review expenditure and other payments and initiate payment instructions for approval.
- Periodic bank/account s reconciliation.
- Monitor advance payments to ensure future delivery of value to the company.
- Monitor accruals to ensure compliance with agreements with stakeholders.
- Prepare annual budgets for the company and monitor budget compliance.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
- Provide Management information for decision making.
- Control stock of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods.
- Maintain fixed assets register.
- Maintain tax records and ensure that returns are filled timely.
- Liaise with Auditors and banks.
- Perform admin duties.
Qualification
- Candidate is expected to have a B.Sc or HND in Accounting or in other related subjects.
- Minimum of five(5) years postNYSC experience in a manufacturing company.
- Demonstrate financial and management skills
- Ability to meet reporting deadlines
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and accounting software such as Quickbooks, Peachtree is required.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
