The University of Ilorin is located in the ancient city of Ilorin, about 500 kilometres from Abuja, the Federal capital. Ilorin, the Capital of Kwara State, is strategically located at the geographical and cultural confluence of the North and South. University of Ilorin was one of the seven institutions of higher learning established by a decree of the Federal Military Government in August, 1975. This step, taken to implement one of the educational directives of the country’s Third National Development Plan, was aimed at providing more opportunities for Nigerians aspiring to acquire university education and to generate high level man-power, so vital for the rapidly expanding economy.

Requirements 

• Candidate must possess SSCE attempted plus Trade Test Grade I with at least ten (10) years cognate experience or SSCE/GCE (O/L) or its equivalent with at least 3 credits in the relevant subjects and 2 Passes inclusive of English Language plus Trade Test IT plus ten (10) years cognate experience or SSCE/CCE(O/L/FED. Craft/NABTE8 Part I or its equivalent with at least 5 credits inclusive of English Language and Mathematics plus Trade Test II and be computer literate seven (7) years cognate experience SSCE/GO (O/L.)/ FED. Craft/NABTEB Part I or its equivalent with at least 5 credits inclusive of English Language and Mathematics plus Trade Test I and be computer Iterate plus at least four (4) years cognate experience or OND or its equivalent in the relevant field and be computer literate.

Salary Grade
CONTISS 05.

Other Conditions:

• Appointment is normally on probation, which may be confirmed after two years of satisfactory service.
• The post is pensionable.
