The National Universities Commission was established in 1962 as an advisory agency in the Cabinet Office. However, in 1974, it became a statutory body and the first Executive Secretary, in the person of Prof. Jibril Aminu, was appointed.

The National Universities Commission (NUC) is a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Education (FME). The Commission has a Governing Council; its Executive Secretary is Prof. Yusufu Abdullahi Ribadu FCVSN, who assumed the duty of overseeing the activities of the Commission in December 2024.

Job Title: Artisan / Craftsman (Plumber)

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Cadre: Clerical and Auxilliary Staff

Job Description

  • Performing duties that require fabrication, processing, installation, maintenance, repairs, or inspection of buildings, furniture, electric-mechanical systems, mobile and stationary machines, and other materials and equipment in specific fields.

Requirements

  • Applicants must possess at least 'O' Level Certificate or its equivalent, Class II/III Trade Test Certificate in the appropriate trade.
  • Technical training and cognate experience on the subject matter shall be an advantage.
  • Application is open to all eligible Nigerian citizens from the ages of 18 to 50 and are required to possess appropriate qualifications, competencies, skills, and orientation.
