We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Medical Records Officer
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and complete patient medical records in both physical and electronic formats.
- Retrieve and file patient records efficiently to support medical consultations and treatments.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
- Support medical staff with timely access to patient records and health information.
- Generate health information reports and statistics for internal use and regulatory compliance.
- May also double as the Physician’s Assistant the when need arises.
- Monitor and update patient admission, discharge, and transfer records.
- Participate in quality assurance, audits, and record-keeping improvements within the medical unit.
Requirements
- National Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management, Medical Records, or related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in medical records management, preferably in a hospital or clinical environment.
- Valid practicing license with the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN).
- Proficiency in medical records software, electronic health systems (EHR), and database management.
- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare staff.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and manage sensitive information with discretion.
