We are recruiting to fill the vacant position of:

Job Title: Research Technician (Post Harvest)

Location: Ibadan
Recruitment Type: National (2-year renewable contract)

Position/Responsibilities

Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
  • Assist in processing and store high quality vitamin A cassava and maize;
  • Provide clerical and office support to field staff and HarvestPlus project;
  • Develop, test and commercialize new vitamin A cassava products for household and commercial use;
  • Provide assistance to the postharvest officer to ensure standardization of products processing and packaging;
  • Support the establishment of vitamin A cassava points of sale across Nigeria to increase consumers access;
  • Support training of caterers and investors on processing and value addition;
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification, Experience and Skills
Qualification & Experience
  • OND in Food Science and Technology or related field with minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related field.
Skills and competences:
  • Be able to follow instruction and work independently where necessary.
  • Possess good organizational skill and demonstrate ability to work under pressure.
  • Be available to work outside office hours and for extended hours when necessary.
