Job Title: Human Resource Officer

Location: Aaba, Delta

Description

  • We are seeking a passionateHuman Resource (HR) Officer who will handletalent acquisition, manages recruitment lifecycle, facilitates onboarding, supports performance management and development programs, advises on employment law and compliance, and handles employee relations and grievances, all while aligning HR strategies with the company's operational and business goals.
  • They play a strategic role in bridging talent gaps and ensuring a motivated, high-performing workforce for the vital energy sector.

Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:

  • Drafting job descriptions, advertising positions, and screening candidates.
  • Managing the entire recruitment process to attract skilled workers for demanding roles.
  • Coordinating the onboarding of new hires, including orientation, training, and contract preparation.

Performance & Development:

  • Guiding performance management frameworks and assisting with performance appraisals.
  • Identifying training needs and organizing development programs to cultivate future industry leaders.
  • Tracking employee performance and supporting career development planning.

Employee Relations & Compliance:

  • Addressing employee queries, grievances, and mediating disputes to maintain a harmonious work environment.
  • Ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies and advising on related issues.
  • Maintaining employee records and providing guidance on benefits and procedures.

Strategic Contributions:

  • Aligning human capital strategies with the company's business objectives.
  • Collaborating with department heads to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Contributing to organizational design and change management initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor’s Degree with 2 - 5 years work experience.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and analytical skills.
  • A solid understanding of employment law and regulations.
  • Interpersonal and people-management skills, including the ability to form relationships at all levels.
  • Commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
