Job Title: Consultant - Retainer Expert for the Compilation of 2015 UNDAF Progress Report

Location:
Abuja, Nigeria
Type of Contract: Individual Contract
Post Level: National Consultant
Duration of Initial Contract: 7 Working days
Expected Duration of Assignment:7 Days

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the overall supervision of the Resident coordinator and the Chairperson of the Programme Management Team (PMT) with immediate supervision by the Head of the Resident Coordinator’s Office, the consultant is required to facilitate the compilation of the 2015 UNDAF Progress Report and related processes by:
  • Participating in the 2015 UNDAF III annual review meeting;
  • Use the reports of thematic groups and other UNDAF III DaO focal States;
  • Undertake any other duties related to UNDAF review meetings Produce the 2015 UNDAF-III PROGRESS REPORT (Fully edited Narrative Report).
Competencies
Functional Competences:
  • Proven strong communication and technical writing skills
  • All-round understanding of UN’s mandate, programming and modus operandi;
  • Knowledge of Nigeria’s UNDAF will be an asset;
  • Excellent analytical skills.
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
  • Must possess a Master's Degree in Social Sciences or relevant international development field.
Experience:
  • 10 years cognate experience in report writing, workshop/training/meeting facilitation.
Language:
  • Strong skills in written communications in English particularly in preparing issue-based papers or reports.
