University of Uyo (UNIUYO) is located in Uyo, capital of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The university was formerly known as the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS). On October 1st, 1991 the Federal government of Nigeria established it as a federal university and the name was changed to the University of Uyo. The university inherited students, staff, academic programmes and the entire facilities of the erstwhile University of Cross River State established by Cross River State in 1983. Academic activities commenced during the 1991/92 academic session. UNIUYO has 12 faculties,the postgraduate school and the school of continuing Education.

Requirements

• Candidates shall possess a Bachelor's Degree or HND in Science Laboratory Technology, City & Guilds of London Institute Part II in SLT or City & Guilds of London Full Technology or Final Certificate or any other relevant disciplines, plus nine (9) years relevant working experience in Teaching and Research Laboratory.
• Must be registered with NISLT or ISTL, COREN or relevant professional body established by an Act at the level not below Associate Membership Grade, plus NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion Certificate.

Other Requirements:

• Application is open to all eligible Nigerian citizens from the ages of 18 to 50 and are required to possess appropriate qualifications, competencies, skills and orientation.
