University of Uyo (UNIUYO) is located in Uyo, capital of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The university was formerly known as the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS). On October 1st, 1991 the Federal government of Nigeria established it as a federal university and the name was changed to the University of Uyo. The university inherited students, staff, academic programmes and the entire facilities of the erstwhile University of Cross River State established by Cross River State in 1983. Academic activities commenced during the 1991/92 academic session. UNIUYO has 12 faculties,the postgraduate school and the school of continuing Education.

Requirements

• Candidates must possess a PhD or its equivalent in Medical Laboratory Science from a recognized institution.
• Candidates must have nine (9) years post-qualification cognate experience, with evidence of outstanding and continuing scholarly achievement / publications.
• He or she must have publications of international repute and must be academically visible in Google Scholar, Research gate, etc.
• Registration with a recognized professional body is required where applicable.

Other Requirements:

• Application is open to all eligible Nigerian citizens from the ages of 18 to 50 and are required to possess appropriate qualifications, competencies, skills and orientation.
