Buymore is a retail / supermarket with four branches (GRA Ikeja, Abule Egba, Isheri, & Ibafo).

Job Summary

• The Operations Manager oversees daily supermarket operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company policies.
• The role is responsible for managing staff, coordinating inventory, implementing operational procedures, and ensuring smooth functioning of all supermarket sections.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Store Operations:

• Oversee daily activities of all supermarket departments.
• Ensure proper store opening, closing, and cash handling procedures.
• Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Resolve operational issues promptly.

Staff Management & Supervision:

• Manage staff schedules, attendance, and productivity.
• Conduct daily briefings and performance reviews.
• Address staff misconduct with HR.
• Support recruitment and training.

Inventory & Stock Control:

• Monitor stock levels to avoid stockout or overstock.
• Work with procurement for timely replenishment.
• Supervise stock counts, merchandising, and pricing.
• Investigate variances and stock losses.

Customer Experience:

• Ensure excellent customer service.
• Resolve customer complaints promptly.
• Train staff on service standards.

Financial & Sales Performance:

• Monitor sales, expenses, and operational KPIs.
• Ensure POS accuracy and cash reconciliation.
• Implement strategies to improve sales and reduce costs.

Compliance & Standards:

• Ensure compliance with SOPs and safety standards.
• Enforce discipline and hygiene rules.
• Coordinate with HR on welfare and sanctions.

Reporting & Communication;

• Prepare operational reports.
• Provide improvement recommendations.
• Liaise with suppliers and service providers.
