Federal University of Environment and Technology, Koroma/Sakpenwa was established as a Federal university in Koroma/Sakpenwa, Tai Local Government Area, in the Ogoni region of Rivers State. Its creation is rooted in long-standing calls for an institution dedicated to environmental restoration and sustainable development in the Niger Delta / Ogoniland — a region deeply affected by environmental degradation. The university’s motto is “Advancing Knowledge, Conserving Nature.” FUET aims to be a “centre of excellence” focused on environmental sustainability, technological innovation, and responding to environmental challenges through research and education.

Requirements

• Candidates must have a Master’s Degree (M.Sc./M.A. or equivalent) in the relevant discipline from a recognized university. Evidence of registration for a Ph.D. programme or active plans to undertake doctoral studies is an advantage.
• Candidates should demonstrate potential for teaching and research (e.g., undergraduate teaching experience, presentations, conference papers).
