Federal University Gashua (FUGashua) is a university based in Yobe State, northeastern Nigeria. It is a learning and research institution that seeks to solve the immediate needs of society and give every person the opportunity to acquire knowledge. In its Education Sector reform and development, the Federal Government of Nigeria, in 2010, approved the establishment of twelve (12) universities in the six geopolitical zones of the country. This was to expand access to tertiary education for Nigerians.

Requirements

• Candidate for the position must be a Reader/Associate Professor currently
• Ph.D. holder (or equivalent) in the relevant discipline who has a minimum of Eight (8) years teaching and research experience at the university level.

General Requirements:

• Application is open to all eligible Nigerian citizens from the ages of 18 to 50 and are required to possess appropriate qualifications and competencies.
• NYSC discharge/exemption certificate and ICT proficiency are required for all senior positions.
