Federal University Gashua (FUGashua) is a university based in Yobe State, northeastern Nigeria. It is a learning and research institution that seeks to solve the immediate needs of society and give every person the opportunity to acquire knowledge. In its Education Sector reform and development, the Federal Government of Nigeria, in 2010, approved the establishment of twelve (12) universities in the six geopolitical zones of the country. This was to expand access to tertiary education for Nigerians.

Requirements

• Candidates should be a Ph.D. Degree holder, or a Master's Degree holder in the relevant discipline with at least 2 journal articles and must have spent three years teaching and research in a university.

General requirement:

• Application is open to all eligible Nigerian citizens from the ages of 18 to 50 and are required to possess appropriate qualifications and competencies, NYSC discharge/exemption certificate and ICT proficiency are required for all senior positions.
