Federal University Gashua (FUGashua) is a university based in Yobe State, northeastern Nigeria. It is a learning and research institution that seeks to solve the immediate needs of society and give every person the opportunity to acquire knowledge. In its Education Sector reform and development, the Federal Government of Nigeria, in 2010, approved the establishment of twelve (12) universities in the six geopolitical zones of the country. This was to expand access to tertiary education for Nigerians.

Requirements

• Applicants must be a holder of a Master's Degree in the relevant subject from any recognized institution and must demonstrate ability to teach and carry out research.
• However, holders of First Degree at a minimum performance level of Second-Class Upper Division plus relevant professional qualification are appointable as Assistant Lecturer.

General Requirement:

• Application is open to all eligible Nigerian citizens from the ages of 18 to 50 and are required to possess appropriate qualifications and competencies.
• NYSC discharge/exemption certificate and ICT proficiency are required.
