Job Description
- We are in need for an Accountant who will manage the General Ledger, prepares monthly financial reports, ensures statutory compliance, and leads the month-end close.
- The role supports bank reconciliations, project cost monitoring, internal controls, and provides audit and tax compliance support.
- Works closely with AR, AP, SCM, PMO, and auditors.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & GL Control:
- Maintain GL and prepare monthly management accounts.
- Handle accruals, prepayments, journals, and fixed assets.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
Audit, Tax & Compliance:
- Prepare audit schedules and support external audits.
- Ensure PAYE, WHT, VAT, Pension, NHF, NSITF, and ITF compliance.
- Maintain proper documentation for audit trails.
Bank Reconciliations & Internal Controls:
- Lead bank reconciliation process; resolve reconciling items with AR/AP.
- Strengthen internal controls to ensure financial accuracy.
Project Accounting & Costing:
- Review project cost postings and ensure correct WBS/cost centre allocation.
- Work with PMO/Technical teams on revenue recognition and project reporting.
Systems & Process Improvement:
- Support Sage and Zoho Books usage.
- Recommend improvements to finance processes and reporting templates.
KPIs
- Timely monthly accounts & reconciled TB
- Clean bank reconciliations
- Accurate project cost reports
- Zero major audit issues
- Compliance with all statutory deadlines.
Requirements
- Education: B.Sc. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field.
- Experience: 2 - 5 years in IT support.
- Certifications: ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Certification.

- Technical expertise to achieve 80% request resolution at first line.
