Job Title: Junior Civil Engineer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary

• The Junior Civil Engineer will support the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering works for residential, commercial, and mixed-use real estate projects.
• This entry-level role provides hands-on experience in site development, construction supervision, and project coordination under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Planning:

• Assist in preparing site layouts, grading plans, drainage, and utility designs.
• Support preparation of CAD drawings and technical specifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies and assist in preparing cost estimates.

Construction Support:

• Monitor site works including earthworks, foundations, and infrastructure installation.
• Assist in quality control checks and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Prepare daily/weekly site reports and document progress.

Coordination & Communication:

• Work closely with architects, senior engineers, and contractors.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical input.
• Liaise with local authori2ties for permits and approvals.

Learning & Development:

• Gain exposure to project management practices in real estate development.
• Learn regulatory requirements, building codes, and sustainability practices.
• Participate in mentorship programs and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: 3–5 years (internship or project experience in real estate preferred).

Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software.
• Basic knowledge of construction materials and methods.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
