Hope and Rural Aid Foundation (HARAF) is a National Non-Profit organization functioning since 2011 but was officially registered under the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of the Federal Government of Nigeria in the year 2016 with registration number RN: CAC/IT/:85536.
Hope and Rural Aid Foundation currently has three field and operational offices in Adamawa, Maiduguri and Yobe states of Nigeria. The organisation works in the Food Security and Livelihood, Protection (Child Protection/Gender based violence), Education and Shelter/ (Camp Coordination and Camp Management) thematic areas.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Case Management Officer

Location: Madagali LGA, Adamawa
Contract Duration: Short Term (8 Months)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide survivor-centered and confidential case management services in line with protection principles.
  • Conduct intake interviews and assessments to identify needs, risks, and appropriate interventions.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized case plans with clients.
  • Provide basic psychosocial support and emotional care to survivors and vulnerable individuals.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate referrals to health, legal, psychosocial, shelter, and livelihood services.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date case files and documentation.
  • Coordinate with community structures, protection committees, and service providers to strengthen support networks.
  • Conduct follow-ups and case closures in line with standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in community awareness activities and protection monitoring as required.
  • Prepare timely activity reports while ensuring confidentiality and data protection.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Gender Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in case management, protection, or GBV programming.
  • Experience working in humanitarian or emergency settings is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of survivor-centered approach and case management guidelines.
  • Fluency in English and the ability to speak and understand local language(s).

  • Strong understanding of protection principles and ethical standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive cases with empathy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work with community structures and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Willingness to work in challenging field environments.
