About the Role
- We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to join its Executive Leadership Team and provide strategic financial leadership across a diversified Group with operations spanning Transportation & Logistics, Real Estate Management, Aftersales & Spare Parts, and Sales of Heavy Trucks & Equipment.
- The CFO will be responsible for driving the Group’s financial strategy, ensuring financial sustainability, strong governance, regulatory compliance, and performance optimization across all business units.
- This role requires a commercially astute finance leader with deep experience in multi-sector operations, capital management, and executive decision support.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Financial Leadership:
- Develop and execute the Group’s financial strategy aligned with corporate objectives and long-term growth plans.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the Group Managing Director and Board on financial performance, capital allocation, investments, and risk management.
- Lead financial modelling, scenario planning, and business forecasting across diversified business lines.
Financial Planning, Budgeting & Performance Management:
- Oversee annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial plans for all subsidiaries.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and KPIs, ensuring timely corrective actions.
- Establish profitability analysis by business unit.
- Monitor fleet financing, maintenance costs, fuel management, route profitability, and asset utilization.
- Support pricing strategies and customer financing solutions.
- Drive cost optimization, margin improvement, and productivity initiatives.
Accounting, Reporting & Internal Controls:
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of consolidated financial statements in line with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures across the Group.
- Oversee statutory audits, tax audits, and regulatory filings.
- Ensure effective cash flow management, working capital optimization, and liquidity planning.
Treasury, Funding & Capital Management:
- Manage treasury operations, including cash management, banking relationships, and foreign exchange exposure.
- Structure and manage debt, equity, and project financing.
- Lead negotiations with banks, investors, and financial institutions.
- Optimize capital structure to support growth while maintaining financial discipline.
Taxation, Risk & Governance:
- Ensure full compliance with all tax obligations (Corporate Tax, VAT, WHT, Customs Duties, etc.).
- Develop tax-efficient structures for operations and investments across sectors.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, credit, and market risks.
- Oversee insurance coverage for fleet, properties, equipment, and business operations.
- Strengthen corporate governance practices and support Board-level reporting and committees.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Build and lead a high-performing Group Finance team across business units.
- Drive talent development, succession planning, and performance management within the finance function.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree or HND with 15years relevant experience in Logistic or Transport industry.
Salary
N2,000,000 - N3,000,000 / Month.
