Job Title: Junior Lawyer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Role

• We are seeking a competent, proactive, and detail-oriented Junior Lawyer to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will support the firm’s legal operations through effective research, drafting, case preparation, and client representation, while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and delivering high-quality legal services.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B)
• Minimum of 2 years post–call to bar experience, with verifiable exposure to legal practice within a reputable law firm or corporate legal department.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian laws, including civil and criminal procedure, corporate and commercial law, regulatory compliance, contract law, and litigation processes.
• Excellent legal research skills, with the ability to interpret statutes, case laws, and precedents effectively.
• Proven drafting ability, including drafting of contracts, court processes, legal opinions, agreements, letters, and other legal documents with clarity and precision.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess legal issues, identify risks, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate legal arguments clearly and professionally.
• Competent advocacy skills, with confidence in court appearances, client representation, and handling legal proceedings when required.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple files, and handle tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional conduct, with commitment to ethical legal practice

Salary
N170,000 / Month.
