Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly experienced Truck Driver Trainer, including retired professional drivers, to support our driver recruitment and development process.
  • The role focuses on conducting driving tests for shortlisted candidates, training and retraining drivers, and ensuring all drivers meet company safety and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct practical driving tests and road assessments for driver candidates who have passed the interview stage.
  • Evaluate driver competence, road discipline, vehicle handling, and safety awareness.
  • Provide structured training, retraining, and refresher programs for new and existing drivers.
  • Coach drivers on defensive driving, company driving policies, and best practices.
  • Identify high-risk driving behaviors and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare assessment reports and training recommendations for HR and Fleet Management.
  • Support investigations relating to driving incidents and provide expert input when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 20 years experience as a professional truck driver, driver trainer, or fleet driving supervisor.
  • Retired professional drivers are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Deep knowledge of Nigerian road regulations, safety standards, and truck operations.
  • Valid driver’s license (or evidence of previously held license).
  • Strong communication, coaching, and assessment skills.
  • High level of discipline, patience, and integrity.
