Job Summary

  • Our client seeks to hire an experienced Piping Design Engineer to support engineering design activities within the Oil & Gas servicing sector.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in piping design, calculations, specifications, and drawings, with hands-on experience using Primavera and other relevant engineering software.
  • This role is office-based and requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality design outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review piping designs in line with project requirements, industry codes, and Oil & Gas standards
  • Perform piping calculations, including sizing and stress analysis, to ensure safety and operational efficiency
  • Prepare and review piping specifications, material take-offs, and bills of quantities
  • Interpret and produce piping drawings such as P&IDs, isometrics, layouts, and general arrangement drawings
  • Create accurate and detailed piping drawings using relevant design tools
  • Use Primavera for project planning, scheduling, and tracking of design deliverables
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure design consistency and compliance
  • Participate in design reviews and implement approved changes
  • Ensure all piping designs meet client, regulatory, and industry requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience as a Piping Design Engineer within the Oil & Gas servicing industry
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera and other engineering/design software (AutoCAD, PDMS, SmartPlant, or similar)
  • Excellent knowledge of piping calculations, piping specifications, and piping design standards
  • Proven ability to interpret and produce high-quality piping drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in an office-based, collaborative environment.
