Position Overview
- We are seeking a highly experienced Shift Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) to oversee all E&I operations at our film manufacturing facility in Ibadan.
- The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and hands-on experience managing electrical and instrumentation systems within a continuous process manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end Electrical & Instrumentation operations during assigned shifts.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of Blown Film, Printing, Slitting, and Utility control systems.
- Oversee HT & LT power distribution systems, transformers, and ensure electrical safety compliance.
- Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation systems for blown film lines, extrusion, winding, and auxiliary equipment.
- Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Participate in energy optimization and efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, electrical safety standards, and company policies.
- Lead and support the E&I team to enhance technical skills and productivity.
- Carry out troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
Educational Qualification
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in an industrial Electrical & Instrumentation role.
- Prior experience in a film manufacturing or continuous process plant is an added advantage.
Technical Skills & Competencies:
- Strong hands-on experience with HT & LT electrical systems, substations, and power distribution.
- Practical knowledge of industrial instrumentation, automation, and process control systems.
- Familiarity with film manufacturing machinery and associated instrumentation.
- Sound understanding of energy management, preventive maintenance practices, and electrical safety standards.
Salary
N200,000 - N300,000 per month.
