Job Title: CNG Electrical Technician

Location: Ibese Plant, Ogun 
Job type: Full-time

Job Summary 

  • The CNG Electrical Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all electrical systems and components within the CNG station.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine electrical inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on CNG compressors, dispensers, and related equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical faults in motors, control systems, wiring, PLCs, switches, and sensors.
  • Respond quickly to electrical faults or equipment failures to minimize downtime and maintain continuous operations.
  • Install, test, and maintain electrical panels, control circuits, grounding systems, and power distribution units.
  • Monitor electrical loads and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports for all electrical-related work.
  • Ensure all work activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.   

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Trade Test Certification (Electrical), OND in Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical Technician; experience in CNG, gas plants, or industrial facilities is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motors, control circuits, and instrumentation.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and automation systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documents.
  • Good understanding of safety procedures in hazardous environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
