Job Description

  • Our client is seeking a highly experienced General Manager to oversee business operations, procurement, vendor relations, and strategic growth initiatives across its locations.

Role Overview

  • The General Manager will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, managing vendors and procurement activities, overseeing budgets, and supporting business growth and profitability.
  • The role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to execute strategic initiatives across multiple functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business strategies to support revenue and margin growth
  • ⁠Identify growth opportunities and support new market entry initiatives
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform business decisions
  • Collaborate with finance on pricing, margin analysis, and financial planning
  • Streamline business operations to improve efficiency and reduce cost
  • Source, onboard, and manage vendors locally and internationally
  • Oversee procurement, sourcing, and purchasing activities
  • Manage budgets related to operations, procurement, and merchandising
  • Analyze business performance and recommend improvement initiatives
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to achieve business goals
  • Prepare management reports, dashboards, and performance presentations⁠
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements
Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Master’s degree is an added advantage
  • 5–7 years experience in business management, procurement, or vendor relations
  • Experience supporting growth and cost-optimization initiatives
  • International sourcing experience and trade fair exposure is an added advantage

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of business operations, procurement, and finance
  • Proven experience in vendor and supply chain management
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Analytical mindset with budgeting and forecasting experience
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions
  • Results-driven, with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction

Salary
N400,000 – N500,000 / month.
