Job Title: Account and Client Service Officer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Accounts and Client Service Officer is responsible for providing end-to-end financial support and client-facing services to ensure accurate accounting records, effective billing and collections, and high-quality client relationship management.
  • The role combines accounting operations with client service delivery, ensuring financial integrity while maintaining strong client satisfaction and retention.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Financial Operations:

  • Prepare and process invoices, debit notes, and credit notes in line with agreed client contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding payments, and ensure timely collections.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Reconcile client accounts and resolve billing discrepancies promptly.
  • Support monthly financial reporting, including revenue tracking and expense analysis.
  • Assist with payroll support, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Client Service & Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients on billing, account status, and service-related financial matters.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries, complaints, and requests.
  • Liaise with operations and service delivery teams to address client concerns and ensure service alignment with contractual terms.
  • Support client onboarding, including documentation, contract setup, and account configuration.
  • Maintain accurate client records and correspondence logs.

Coordination & Administration:

  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to support proposals, contract renewals, and service reviews.
  • Prepare client reports, statements of account, and service summaries as required.
  • Track contract milestones, renewals, and billing cycles.
  • Support audits, management reviews, and internal process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–3years’ experience in accounting, client service, or a similar hybrid role.

  • Strong accounting and financial record-keeping skills
  • Excellent client service and communication abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities
  • Professional judgment, confidentiality, and integrity.
