Job Title: Litigation Clerk

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Litigation Clerk to support litigation activities within a reputable legal firm.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for handling court documentation, filing and service of processes, records management, and providing general litigation support to lawyers and management.

Key Responsibilities
The Litigation Clerk’s duties shall include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Draft minor court documents, including Affidavits of Service and related correspondence.
  • File and serve court processes, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with court procedures.
  • Maintain proper custody, organization, and management of court documents and case files.
  • Properly shelf-case, assign, and update litigation files.
  • Deliver official letters and messages as required.
  • Carry out scanning, photocopying, binding, and reproduction of court processes and correspondence.
  • Organize, index, and archive case files in the file room and archives.
  • Ensure the file room is well-arranged, orderly, and kept neat at all times.
  • Track court dates, rulings, records of proceedings, judgments, and filing deadlines.
  • Provide regular and timely updates to Senior Associates and the Practice Manager on case progress and deadlines.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a BSc/HND in a relevant field.
  • 3–4 years’ relevant work experience in a legal firm.
  • Good understanding of court processes and litigation procedures.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet strict deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of confidentiality.

Salary 
N200,000 – N250,000 monthly.
