Job Title: Senior Heavy Duty Mechanic

About the Role

  • We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Maintenance team.
  • In this critical role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a diverse fleet of heavy-duty equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment including Cranes, Forklifts, Cherry Pickers, Trucks, Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT), Reach Stacker, and Excavators.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Engines, and basic electrical systems.
  • Supervise and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance and oversight on maintenance tasks.
  • Undertake and successfully complete sensitive and critical repair jobs.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company standards.

Requirements

  • Trade test, OND, HND, or equivalent qualification. Additional certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Must be between 35 to 45 years old.
  • Proven proficiency in troubleshooting and solving hydraulic, pneumatic, and engine problems.
  • Strong safety awareness and commitment to compliance.
