Job Title: Managing Director, Bulk Commodities (Dubai Office)

Role Mission

• The MD Bulk commodities is responsible for the general oversight of Dubai office. He will ensure the smooth running of the office and provides supervisory oversight to all units of the business  some of which are Chartering and Shipping, Accounting and Finance, Corporate Tax and Transfer Price Regulations, Supply Sourcing etc.

Role Responsibilties

• Office Administration
• Responsible for management of office staff.
• Responsible for budget allocation and management.
• Handle contracts and legal documents.
• Prepare accounts for audit and file accounts with DMCC
• Authorize and sign payments for supplies, freight and office expenses
• Manage profitability and quarterly VAT returns
• Deal with transfer pricing inquiries from Dangote Companies
• Deal with issues arising in shipping delays, export and import documentation, letters of credit etc.
• Process payments and verification
• Sourcing of Supplies
• Source Supplies (Coal, Clinker, cement, Gypsum, salt and other products)
• Negotiate long-term and short-term supply contracts.
• Agree on shipping laycan and delivery schedule
• Follow up on import documentation and LCS.

Requirements

• MBA in Business Administration, Management or relevant field.
• Minimum of 15 years work experience in Bulk commodities with  atleast 5 years  in an Executive Director or Managing Director position.
• Hands on experience in developing strategic business plans.
• Good understanding of Corporate laws and management best practise
• Indepth understanding of the bulk commodity market and business.
• Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills.
• Understanding of Financial statements, budgeting and risk management.
• Good understanding of international markets and global business dynamics.
• Good communication skills.
