Job Title: Sous Chef (Experienced in Continental Cuisines)
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- The Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, and timely service.
- The role requires strong leadership skills and broad experience in continental cuisines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and food production.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to approved recipes and quality standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff, assign duties, and ensure smooth workflow during service.
- Enforce food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Support menu planning, costing, and inventory control.
- Step in for the Head Chef when required and ensure uninterrupted kitchen operations.
- Train, coach, and motivate kitchen team members to maintain high performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in a reputable hotel or restaurant.
- Strong background in continental cuisines.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.
- Relevant culinary qualification or professional certification is an added advantage.
