Job Title: Sous Chef (Experienced in Continental Cuisines)

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, and timely service.
  • The role requires strong leadership skills and broad experience in continental cuisines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and food production.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared according to approved recipes and quality standards.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, assign duties, and ensure smooth workflow during service.
  • Enforce food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Support menu planning, costing, and inventory control.
  • Step in for the Head Chef when required and ensure uninterrupted kitchen operations.
  • Train, coach, and motivate kitchen team members to maintain high performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in a reputable hotel or restaurant.
  • Strong background in continental cuisines.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.
  • Relevant culinary qualification or professional certification is an added advantage.
