Role Overview
- The Relationship Manager (RM), Corporate Banking, is responsible for originating, managing, and growing profitable relationships with corporate clients within assigned industry divisions.
- The role focuses on delivering tailored banking solutions, deepening wallet share, managing credit and risk exposure, and serving as the primary point of contact between the Bank and its clients.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship & Business Development:
- Develop and manage a portfolio of corporate clients within the assigned division (Energy & Power, Conglomerates, Private Banking, FMCG, Fintech & Telecoms, or Utilities & Infrastructure).
- Originate new business opportunities through proactive relationship building, market intelligence, and industry networking.
Credit & Risk Management:
- Structure and originate credit proposals in line with the Bank’s credit policies and risk appetite.
- Conduct financial analysis, cash flow assessment, and industry risk evaluation for credit requests.
Portfolio & Revenue Management:
- Drive revenue growth through effective asset and liability management, fee income generation, and balance sheet optimization.
- Achieve assigned financial targets including asset growth, deposit mobilization, income, and profitability.
Stakeholder & Internal Collaboration:
- Liaise with internal product teams (Trade, Treasury, Cash Management, Digital Banking) to deliver integrated solutions.
- Coordinate onboarding, KYC, and account maintenance processes to ensure excellent client experience.
Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, AML/CFT guidelines, and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure timely renewal of credit facilities and KYC documentation.
Division-Specific Exposure (Required)
Candidates must demonstrate hands-on corporate banking experience within at least one of the following sectors:
- Energy & Power
- Conglomerates
- Private Banking
- FMCG
- Fintech & Telecoms
- Utilities & Infrastructure
Qualifications & Experience
- BSC in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 –10 years relevant experience in Corporate Banking, with proven relationship management and credit origination experience.
- Demonstrated track record of managing corporate client portfolios and delivering revenue growth.
