We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HSE Supervisor

Location: Apapa, Lagos

Purpose ​

  • To assist in managing and coordinating structured systems for the implementation of ISO 45001 practices for the safety, health, and environment of employees and the factory.

The Job

  • Assist the Safety Manager in hazard analysis and coordinate accident and incident investigations to develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Carry out risk assessments and identify ways risks can be reduced.
  • Outline safe operational procedures that identify and take account of all relevant hazards including PPE provision and monitoring.
  • Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and create weekly audit reports with follow-up.
  • Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements.
  • Record incidents (including near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions) as well as accidents and produce KPI statistics.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety, health, and environment rules, procedures, and regulatory requirements and aim at implementing best practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English Language.
  • Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Environmental Sciences or Engineering

Experience:​

  • Minimum of 2 years’ cognate experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

The Person Must:​

  • Have a solid understanding of workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Possess relevant HSE certifications (such as ISPON, IOSH, or equivalent).
  • Be able to conduct risk assessments and review Method Statements (RAMS), safety audits, and incident investigations effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills to promote a safety-conscious culture.
  • Be proactive in identifying hazards and implementing corrective and preventive measures.
