Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI), a public limited liability company, was established as a bank holding company in 1985 under a private sector initiative spearheaded by the Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce and Industry with the support of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Job Identification: 1211
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Job Schedule: Full time

Key Responsibilities 
Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Review requirements and technical designs to identify test scenarios early.
• Perform manual and automated testing on backend services, APIs, and integrations.
• Validate system performance, reliability, and data accuracy across environments.
• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.

Automation & Process Improvement:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for regression and integration testing.
• Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests into deployment workflows.
• Continuously improve test coverage and testing practices

Collaboration & Compliance:

• Work closely with software engineers and business analysts to ensure issues are clearly understood and resolved.
• Ensure testing aligns with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements common in banking systems.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.

Required Skills and Tools:
Testing Tools & Techniques:

• Manual and automated testing methodologies
• API testing tools (Postman, Swagger, or similar)
• Test case design, execution, and reporting.

Automation & Scripting:

• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent).

Systems & Platforms:

• Understanding of REST APIs and backend services
• Basic knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB)
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions

Quality & Compliance:

• Attention to detail and strong defect-tracking skills
• Awareness of security and compliance requirements in financial systems

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
• Clear communication and documentation ability
• Collaborative mindset and attention to detail
