We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Lead Accountant

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in line with regulatory and company standards.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
  • Manage cash flow, monitor expenditures, and recommend cost-control measures.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies.
  • Manage the most complex, large, or difficult analysis projects; evaluate findings, prepare reports and make recommendations to senior management about the financial implications of proposed investments and transactions.
  • Contribute to the development of financial strategies that align with the organization's overall vision and its current and long-term business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain positive, ongoing relationships with the external financial community.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of financial professionals to ensure financial planning and analysis projects are conducted credibly and that recommendations and reports are accurate and timely.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification required: ACA, ACCA, CFA, ICAN, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years related experience with 3 years in a management role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and Nigerian tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Assertiveness (Includes willingness to challenge and confront).
  • Ethical Behaviour/ Honesty/Transparency/ Modelling of Values.
  • Entrepreneurship mentality (ownership of process/task).
  • Customer Service Orientation/Client Focus (Internal and External).

Salary
N750,000 - N850,000 / month.
