Job Title: Business Development Executive & Partnership

Location: Lagos

Reports To: Commercial Manager

Position Overview

  • The Business Development Executive will be a key driver of growth, responsible for identifying strategic market opportunities, building high-value partnerships, and expanding our footprint within the construction ecosystem.
  • The ideal candidate will manage partner relationships and build a repeatable pipeline of profitable opportunities across developers, suppliers, and marketplace partners.

Core Responsibilities
Revenue Generation & Deal Closure:

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of real estate developers, contractors, and ecosystem partners to meet revenue targets.
  • Lead transactions end-to-end; from first engagement through negotiation, agreement, and handover for execution.
  • Identify and convert upsell and cross-sell opportunities across materials procurement and financing (where applicable)

Client Acquisition & Account Growth:

  • Grow existing accounts through repeat transactions, expanded scope, and long-term commercial relationships.
  • Serve as Cutstruct’s primary point of contact for assigned partners.

Marketplace Adoption & Partner Engagement

  • Drive adoption of Cutstruct’s marketplace solutions among developers and contractors.
  • Maintain regular, structured engagement and follow-ups to sustain deal momentum and relationship health.
  • Position Cutstruct as a trusted, long-term partner across the construction value chain.

Pipeline Management, Reporting & Market Insights:

  • Maintain accurate records of active engagements, pipeline status, and revenue performance.
  • Track conversions, deal velocity, and revenue generated.
  • Share insights on customer needs, pricing trends, and competitor activity to improve Cutstruct’s go-to-market strategy.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in business development, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of progressive experience in business development or B2B sales, ideally within Construction Tech, Fintech, or Industrial Supply Chain.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in opening new markets and securing high-value accounts/partnerships.
  • Adaptability: A startup mindset—thriving in a fast-paced, evolving environment where agility is key.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Proven ability to manage transactions from initiation to close
  • Strong understanding of pricing, margins, and revenue generation
  • Ability to balance growth targets with delivery and execution realities
  • Good judgment on when to proceed independently and when to escalate
  • Clear, confident communicator with partners and internal teams
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Strong follow-through and personal accountability
