Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Renewable & Infrastructure Systems)

Job Purpose / Summary
- The Electrical Engineer will oversee the supervision, operation, and maintenance of all electrical systems for Sane GreenEnergy’s solar PV installations, renewable energy projects, and corporate infrastructure.
- This includes ensuring the safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance of solar arrays, power distribution networks, and associated electrical installations, while advancing the company’s sustainability and operational goals.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities (Targets and Deliverables)
- Design, model, and review complete electrical schematics for grid-tied, off-grid, and hybrid solar PV systems.
- Develop technical specifications, single-line diagrams, and perform system sizing, yield analysis, and feasibility studies.
- Lead and supervise the on-site installation, commissioning, and grid integration of solar arrays, inverters, battery storage (BESS), and balance-of-system components.
- Ensure adherence to design, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of operational solar assets.
- Diagnose underperformance, recommend corrective actions, and implement optimization strategies to maximize energy yield and ROI.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all electrical systems, including solar PV plants, power distribution networks, transformers, and backup generators to ensure system reliability and uptime.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all electrical work complies with Nigerian electrical codes, international standards (IEC, NEC), and company HSE policies.
- Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and system commissioning.
- Prepare and maintain accurate design documents, as-built drawings, test reports, maintenance logs, and performance analysis reports for management and regulatory purposes.
- Collaborate with project managers, external contractors, and utilities.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and supervision to field technicians and junior engineers.
- Carry out any other electrical or engineering duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3–5 years relevant experience in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or industrial/building projects.
- Proven experience with solar PV systems and electrical infrastructure.
- Professional certification (COREN registration) is an added advantage.
