We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Presales Engineer

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Summary

  • The Presales Engineer is a customer-facing technical role responsible for discovery, solution architecture, technical validation, and proposal support.
  • You will translate requirements into practical designs, run demos/PoCs, and guide implementation teams.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Windows and Linux administration is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discovery sessions with customer IT/security teams
  • Develop high-level solution architectures and reference designs (on-prem, hybrid, cloud)
  • Build Bills of Materials (BoM), sizing, and implementation approaches
  • Prepare technical proposals, SOWs, and RFP responses with clear scope and deliverables
  • Run product demos and support proofs of concept (PoCs)
  • Partner with sales teams to position solutions against business drivers
  • Handover to delivery teams with clean documentation and guidance

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years’ Windows & Linux systems administration
  • Windows Server: AD DS, DNS, Group Policy, patching, basic hardening
  • Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu): services, permissions, logging, patching, hardening
  • Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, TLS/certificates, firewalls
  • Strong technical documentation and communication skills
  • Exposure to cybersecurity technologies: NGFW, WAF, IAM/MFA, EDR/XDR, SIEM, DLP, backup/DR
  • Cloud fundamentals (Azure/AWS/GCP) and container concepts (Kubernetes)
  • Scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and CI/CD familiarity
  • Relevant certifications (Security+, Network+, Microsoft, Linux, ITIL, vendor-specific)

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days):

  • Complete onboarding on vendor portfolio, proposal templates, and architecture standards
  • Support at least 3 qualified opportunities with discovery notes, solution designs, and proposals
  • Deliver at least 1 demo or PoC with defined success criteria and structured outcome reporting
  • Demonstrate consistent quality in documentation, sizing assumptions, and customer communication.
