Job Title: Accountant

Location: Jabi, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and supporting management with sound financial information for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain proper books of accounts in line with accounting standards
• Record daily financial transactions and ensure timely posting
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
• Prepare payroll, statutory deductions, and staff payments
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations (PAYE, VAT, WHT, CIT)
• Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies when required
• Monitor budgets and control expenses
• Safeguard company financial documents and records
• Provide financial advice and support to management

Qualifications & Requirements

• HND / BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, ANAN) is an added advantage
• 2–5 years relevant work experience
• Good knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and accounting standards
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
