We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Commercial Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Commercial Officer supports the commercial function by preparing quotations and tenders, sourcing vendor prices, and assisting with commercial documentation and contract administration under the guidance of the Head of Commercial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare quotations, tenders, and cost estimates for projects under the guidance of the Head of Commercial.
  • Assist in the preparation of commercial documents, bid submissions, and tender clarifications.
  • Source pricing from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to support the quotation and tender preparation.
  • Assist in vendor evaluation and selection by comparing prices, technical compliance, and commercial terms.
  • Support basic negotiations with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Maintain accurate records of quotations, vendor prices, cost breakdowns, and commercial correspondence.
  • Support the Head of Commercial in contract administration and documentation tasks.
  • Track and report costs, variations, and commercial data as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial, estimation, or tendering roles within an MEP contracting or construction environment.
  • Proven involvement in the preparation of quotations, tenders, cost estimates, and vendor pricing.
  • Basic understanding of contracts, commercial terms, and procurement processes.

Skills and competencies:

  • Good numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Basic negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work under supervision and meet tender deadlines.
  • Organised approach to documentation and record-keeping.
  • Team-oriented mindset with willingness to support senior commercial staff.

Salary
N300,000 - N350,000 monthly.
