We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cook / Chef

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • The purpose of the job is to assist the Production Supervisor in creating high quality meals and dining experience for customers by preparing nutritious and palatable meals consistent with regulations and established policies, procedures, and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Production Supervisor on developing menus.
  • Participates in the timely cooking and the preparation of foods.
  • Ensures that the food is ready in good time for serving by the cashiers.
  • Maintains kitchen sanitation and safety standards, ensuring that the kitchen areas are clean, free of hazards and properly arranged.
  • Assists in establishing controls to minimize food and supply waste and theft.
  • Assists in food/supply ordering and budgeting.
  • Assists in hiring, training, and supervision of cooks and other workers involved in food preparation.
  • Any other tasks as assigned from time to time.

Objectives

  • To ensure timely and smooth preparation of food items in the kitchen.

  • Timely preparation of food items as detailed per time.
  • Food Quality/Recipe consistency.
  • Food safety incidences and neatness of kitchen environment.
  • Customer feedback.
  • Adherence to First-In-First-Out principle.
  • Strong professional approach to work.
  • Ability to follow procedures as stated in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
  • Adherence to the company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Alignment with the company culture and specific ways of doing things.

Requirements

  • Minimum of SSCE with at least a relevant certification in food production.
  • Between 2 - 3 years of relevant and progressive experience.
  • Must be organized and punctual.
  • Well-presented and professional.
  • Strong physical fitness and the ability to be on feet and concentrate for long periods of time
