Job Title: Accountant

Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Enugu
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

  • The Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and leveraging technology to streamline processes.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in driving efficiency, accuracy, and innovation in our financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Develop and implement innovative accounting processes using modern technology tools.
  • Collaborate with management to provide financial insights that support strategic decisions.
  • Monitor budgets, cash flow, and financial forecasts.
  • Support audits and liaise with external auditors when required.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in financial operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within transport, logistics, or related industries.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills required.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to introduce innovative ideas and improve financial processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Vibrant personality with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
