We are a leading integrated agro-allied farm in Enugu State with operations in fishery, poultry, piggery, ruminant production, greenhouse farming, and agro-processing (cassava, palm kernel, rice, etc.).

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Enugu

Job Summary

  • The Accountant will be responsible for managing the farm’s financial records, budgeting, reporting, and internal controls across its diverse agricultural and processing operations.
  • The role requires a professional who understands agribusiness finance, can work with modern accounting tools, and supports management with accurate financial insights for decision-making.
  • We are seeking to recruit a detail-oriented, technology-savvy, and business-focused Accountant to strengthen its financial management and support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all farm units (production and processing).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control across fishery, livestock, greenhouse, and processing operations.
  • Monitor expenses, revenues, inventory, and asset utilization to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Oversee payroll, staff claims, vendor payments, and receivables management.
  • Ensure proper documentation and tracking of farm inputs, feed, stock, and finished products.
  • Support internal controls and financial procedures to prevent loss, waste, and fraud.
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax regulations, statutory deductions, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to provide financial analysis and business insights for growth and expansion.
  • Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies when required.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years’ relevant experience, preferably in an agribusiness, manufacturing, or agro-processing environment.
  • Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or ANAN (or in view) is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and digital financial management tools.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of Nigeria’s tax laws and statutory financial requirements.
